I was born in Nigeria, West Africa. Growing up, I always loved technology and helping people learn. Right after high school, I spent two years teaching Mathematics to grade 6 students. That experience shaped how I think about education, patience, and breaking down complex ideas.
Then I made a big decision. I moved to Canada as an international student when I was 17 years old. I knew no one. I did not know how interviews worked. I did not know the culture. But I was determined to learn and grow.
I enrolled in Computer Programming at Georgian College. From day one, I was fascinated. I spent hours coding, debugging, and building small projects. Soon, I started tutoring other students. Helping them understand programming concepts made me realize how much I enjoyed teaching.
Beyond academics, I got involved. I participated in volunteer activities, attended networking events, and absorbed everything I could about Canadian workplace culture.
When I started looking for my internship, I realized something scary. I did not know how to interview. I had the technical skills, but I had never practiced answering questions under pressure.
So I built a tool for myself. I called it Chucky Interview Prep. It was simple, just a list of questions and answers. But it helped me practice. I added it to my project portfolio, thinking nothing more of it.
I shared the tool with friends. They liked it. I shared it with classmates. They used it too. Then I met John Pickard, the Executive Director of HBEC at Georgian College. He saw potential in what I was building. He encouraged me to keep going, to test it with more students, to gather feedback.
That feedback was gold. Students told me what worked. What didn't. What features they wished existed.
I landed an internship as a Web Systems Analyst at the County of Simcoe. It was a incredible experience. I worked on real systems, solved real problems, and learned how technology works at scale.
But I never stopped thinking about Chucky Interview Prep. During evenings and weekends, I kept improving it. I added new features. I fixed bugs. I listened to users.
Few months before my internship ended, I made a decision. I was going to rebuild everything from scratch. Better design. Better technology. Better experience.
I rebranded to Nevira AI, a name signaling a 'New Era' of technology.
Nevira AI is not just another interview tool. It is personal. I built it because I needed it. Because thousands of students, immigrants, and job seekers need affordable, realistic practice.
I am just getting started. I want Nevira AI to be the go-to interview prep platform for students everywhere. I want to partner with more schools. I want to add more features based on user feedback.
But the mission stays the same: help every student, graduate, and job seeker walk into their interview with confidence.
